ABOUT THE SITE
Volstateroads.com was founded in 2005 by Scott
Boles, PE. It is intended as a guide to the highway network for Tennessee
and a tool for promoting areas of the state that visitors and even natives would
miss if they only used the interstate network. Additionally, it is
also the goal of Volstateroads.com to be an advocate for old highway
bridges and other structures.
Volstateroads.com was first published online on November 23, 2005.
ABOUT THE PUBLISHER
Scott Boles is a Professional Engineer with roughly 10 years in roadway
design, traffic safety, and other incidental Civil Engineering elements.
He holds a BS in Civil Engineering from
Tennessee Tech. Additionally, he is particularly
passionate about roadway safety.
Personally, he resides in Roane County with his wife and two children. Roane County is home, having graduated from Roane County High School in the early 1990s. Politically, he is conservative, yet independent, having held leadership positions in both the Constitution Party of Tennessee and Tennessee Tech College Republicans. He is of the Baptist faith, and a huge fan of Southern Gospel Music.
